Min 08/12/1935 �,Tichita Falls, Texas Lemorial Auditorium Building August 12., 1935 The Board of Aldermen of the City of 'lichita Falls met in regular session at 7:30 P.I,,,. on the above date in the Council Room in the Lerriorial Auditorium with the following members present: 0-ohn T. Young, Ieyor Lack Taylor, Claude Eliller, 1. B. Stokes, L. C. Rodgers, Aldermen V. E. Stampfli, Lark D. "1alker, Lack Thomas, City 1,-anager J. TT. Crouch, City Clerk B. D. Sartin, ;,cting City Attorney The 1,inutes of the previous meetings were read and approved. L:oved by idderman Taylor that E. F. Riley be granted permit to install a 550 gallon underground storage tank located between Ohio and Indiana Avenues; this installation subject to removal at the discretion of the City 7ngineer or the Board of Aldermen. 1-otion seconded by Alderman Liller and carried. 1,r. Gordon, representative from the local "�.P.A. Offices, appeared before the Council recuesting that the City sponsor the se,,,iing room for relief labor for '.14ichita Falls, and a CorarAttee composed of Aldermen L-ack Taylor and V. F. Stampfli was appointed to make reconmendations on this matter at the next regular council meeting. k.oved by Alderman Rodgers that the Board of Aldermen authorize payment of $2,500.00 to the '.,Vichita General Hospital for June 1935. Yoved by Alderman Rodgers that the Board of Aldermen authorize issuance of permit to the Continental Oil (."oirpany to erect a sign between the curb and street line at 12th an.d Holliday; subject to removal at the discretion of the City Engineer or Board of Aldermen. Nays: None, L'oved by Alderman Taylor that the rule requiring ordinances to be passed on three separate days be suspended and an emergency declared, and Ordinance No. 1203 be passed on its second reading.
