The Board of Aldermen of the City of :Wichita Falls met in regular session
at 7:30 P.M. on the above date in the Council Chamber in the memorial Auditorium with
the following members present:
John T. Young, kayor
J. B. Stokes,
L. C. Rodgers,
b-ack Taylor, Aldermen
Burk D. Walker, �
Claude Miller,
Rack Thomas City B;anager
J. H. Crouch, City Clerk
I.I. E. George, City Attorney
The kinutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
The Wichita Falls Tax Payers League, represented by Temple Shell, requested
the Board of Aldermen to cooperate with this League by the appointment of a repre-
sentative to confer with representatives of the other taxing bodies on matters coming
before said League.
Moved by Alderman Taylor that the City Council refuse to appoint a
representative to sit with the Wichita Falls Tax Payers League at this time.
Motion seconded by Alderman Diller and carried.
Loved by Alderman Stokes that the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita
Falls, Texas, grant to Edmund Nuss and he is hereby granted a certificate of public
convenience and necessity, and of his fitness, to operate three (3) regular taxicabs,
and one (1) extra taxicab, under the name of "Safeway Taxis"; and that he be allowed
to make bond or assurance to the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, for public liability
and indemnity as provided in Ordinance No. 1188, am ending Section 4, Paragraph F, of
Ordinance No. 331, for other taxicab operators therein named; and the Clerk of the
City of Wichita Falls, Texas, is hereby instructed to issue license to the said
Edmund Nuss in accordance with the provisions hereof upon his compliance with the
terms of this resolution and ordinance No. 1188 and other ordinances of the City of
Wichita Falls, Texas, not in conflict therewith.
Motion seconded by Alderman Diller and carried.
Loved by Alderman 'Talker that the meeting be adjourned.
Motion seconded by Alderman Rodgers and carried.
