June 3, 1935
The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls met in regular session
on the above date at 7:30 P.Ni. in the Council Chamber in the Memorial Auditorium
with the following members present:
John T. Young, Mayor
ILack Taylor,

W. E. George, City Attorney
The Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
At the request of the State Highway Department the mayor appointed a
committee composed of the City Attorney, City Manager and Alderman Stampfli to
complete the securing of options on right-of-way suggested by the State Highway
Department for the coordination of highways through the City.
Moved by Alderman Walker that the following resolution be adopted.
Notion seconded by Alderman killer and carried by the following vote:
Yeas: Aldermen -7alker, hiller, and Taylor.
Nays: Aldermen Rodgers and Stokes.
RESOLUTION
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDEKI-EN OF THE CITY OF 'ICHITA FALLS,
TEXAS, THAT labor, equipment, and materials in the amount of 4806.60 are hereby
appropriated for the completion of Kell Field Airport.

reading.

Mewman and a committee of uneinployfed to use the Auditorium west lawn for a public
meeting Tuesday afternoon, June 4, 1935.

for Hillcrest Addition to be the prevailing rate of the City,

RES CLUTION
-. HEREAS, the unemployed in Jichita Falls are in dire need of a rork program,
and
rdHEREAS, the lack of finds to take care of relief at this time has caused
the situation to become acute and since further delay will be disasterous to the general
welfare of the unemployed of our city,
THE BEFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDEMEN OF THE CITY OF .,ICHITA
FALLS,
THAT alderman L. C. Rodgers be delegated and authorized to call on Governor
James V. Allred and -request that the Governor use his influence with the Texas Relief
a
Commission to cause this Commission to make immediate provisions to care for the
unemployed at Wichita Falls, Texas, as an immediate emergency.
Moved by Alderman Taylor that Yr. YcGrath be granted permission to install a �
gasoline pump at 707 Lamar Street with the understanding and provision that the permit 1
may be revoked at any time by the City.

Moved by Alderman Walker that the Mayor be requested to appoint a
committee composed of the City Attorney, City Manager and Alderman Ttiiller to
investigate certain claims for damages to L-rs. Mary Rousey and bring recommendations
to the Council.
Rotion seconded by Alderman Miller and carried.
Moved by Alderman Taylor that the meeting be adjourned.
Motion seconded by Alderman balker and carried.
The Board of Aldermen then adjourned.
