RESOLUTION
.�'FriEREAS, th4 ';4'ichita Falls Gas COTrp'�)_ny, was granted a municipal franchise on October
22, 1934, to operate a gas distribution syste-,T, in "�iichita Falls, Texas, for the sale
and distribution of domestic and commercial gas to the people of this City, and
�.VLEREAS, said franchise was granted upon the distinct and specific condition that said
I'llichita Falls Gas CoTi�pany would begin the actual construction of said gas system in
74'ichita Falls within six months from date, and
VEEREAS the period of time, namely six months, has now expired, and no work has been
done by said Wichita Falls Gas Company, in laying said lines for gas distribution in
'�',Iichita Falls, as required by said ordinance granting the aforesaid franchise to said
Coirmanv.
IT IS THEREFORE ORDERED by the City Council of '�.Iichita Falls , Texas, that the
franchise heretofore granted the '.,ichita. Falls Gas Company, be in all things
canceled, annulled, and held for naught, and that said franchise be of no further
force or effect.
The City Attorney is hereby directed to send a copy of this resolution to the
Officials of the said `7!ichita Falls Gas Company.

citizens at tremendously lo-i2 prices and put several hundred nien to work in our c�ty
in building said plant and in constructing said lines and r--ains and installing such
a gas, system in our City.
