The Board of Alderren of the City of '4ichita Falls met in regular session
at 7:30 P.k. on the above date in the Council Chamber in the Iemorial Auditorium with
the following members present:

The hAnutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
il-oved by Alderman 'Vialker that the I'v-ayor be authorized to sign quit claim
deed to Lots 5 and 6, Block 3, Bateson's Addition.

RESOLUTION
'JHEREAS, the City of '�';ichita Falls has exempted homesteads in this city
from city taxes and found that the same is practicable and of lasting, benefit to
i our citizens, taxpayers, and in promoting home ownership, and
'LIJFLEREAS, the _'_'tate Legislature is now considering submitting a constitutional
amendment to the people of Texas, exempting homesteads from all city taxes through-
out the �3tate of Texas, and also from all other taxes except school taxes, and
'�VHEREAS, we feel that such action would be in line with the course taken
in this city on -such matters, we the City Council of Wichita Falls, Texas, hereby
go on record favoring such Constitutional Amendment exempting all homesteads in
this state from all taxes of whatever nature except school taxes, and that we send
a copy of this resolution to each member of the Legislatu�e from this County and
District.

Blvd between Ninth and Tenth Streets by the installation of boulevard curbing and
,-raveling not to exceed the sun, of approximately $365.00.

Clity Tax Collector to establish on the tax rolls valuation covering the following listed
properties att 75% of the valuation originally set up against said properties on the
unrendered roll for Fuller Construction Companyi said properties in Fairview Addition.

Estates Park Improvement. The estimated value of this service is placed at $3,029.60

A resolution was offered and read requesting favorable action of the
Government on the Brazos River conservation project.
Loved by Alderman Liller that action on this resolution be postponed.

Attorney for Roark Taxicab presented objections to the issuance of certain
taxicab license by the Board of Aldermen.
Loved by Alderman Rodgers that the City Attorney be advised to maintain
present status pertaining to taxicabs.

RESOLUTION
EREAS during the last few years the amount of taxes becoming delinquent has
been increasing and this condition exists on account of the financial inability of the
majority of taxpayers of the City, thereby causing all the funds to suffer and the
Interest and Sinking funds to be insuf f icient to meet all the interest falling due:
THEREFCRE, BE rr R&SOLVED BY TI-TE BOARD OF ILLDEM-EN OF TiE CITY CF 1,VICHITA FALLS
That the City of dichita Falls accept in payrent of taxes, both delinquent and
current, any interest coupons only which are due and payable by the City of Wichita
Falls, provided that the amount of interest coupons accepted in payment of any tax ac-
count shall in no case amount to more than the portion of such account which under the
Charter and the tax levies shall be credited to the Interest and Sinking Fund accounts;
provided, further, there is sufficient balance in the Interest and Sinking Fund thus
effected to pay the interest coupons presented and that such interest coupons be
accepted in payment of city taxes only until this order is repealed and voided by the
Board of Aldermen.
