RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Alderman Ylack Taylor and Judge B. D. Sartin have just returned from Washingto�,
D. C., where they successfully presented the application of the City of Wichita Falls,
Texas, for a.P.W.Ao loan for building a municipal light plant, and
WHEREAS, their visit to Washington was greatly expedited by the great help and
friendly courtesy of Hon. John N. Garner, Vice President ofthe United States, Senator
Morris Sheppard, Senator Tom Connally, Congressman James P. Buchanan, and Congressman
W. D. McFarlane, and largely through the efforts of these men, together with the great
help and assistance of our own fellow citizen, the Hon, James V. Allred, Governor of
Texas, the foregoing application for a loan of $2,220,000.00 was received by Hon.
Harold L. Ickes, and filed for immediate action.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMN OF I'lICHITA FALLS, TEXAS:
That we go on record expressing our thanks to the City's representatives Judge B. D.
Sartin and Hon. Lack Taylor, for their fine work in behalf of the city, and that a
special letter of thanks and appreciation be written to Texas Senators, Congressmen,
and to Vice President Garner, and Governor James V. Allred expressing our deep appre-
ciation for their fine cooperation and help in successfully presenting the City's
application for the above mentioned P.W.A. project, and that our City Secretary be in-
structed to write such letters to each of said parties, enclosing a copy of this
resolution.
The attorneys reported that the Railroad Commission expected to release thei
opinion in the case of the City vs Municipal Gas Company on February 15.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the First Methodist Church of this City has at a great cost erected the
beautiful church building %iiich it now occupies at the corner of Tenth and Travis
Streets, and
&MEAS, said building joins the alley on the east which separates said church edifice
from the Post Office and Federal Building in this city, and that said alley is a large
and commodious alley of the width of feet, and that there is plenty of space in
said alley for the use of all government mail trucks, and at the same time ample space
for permitting the parking of cars alongside said church building in said alley during
the time that church services are being held on Sundays;
NOW, THEREF ORE, we the City Council of Wichita Falls, Texas, doe hereby go on record
asking our Congressman W. D. lvicFarlane, to present this petition and resolution to the
Postmaster General asking for the marking off this alley so as to allow space for the
parking of said cars in said alley during said church services.

RESOLUTION
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD' OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS That
the City of Wichita Falls furnish free of cost to the Wichita County Board of Welfare
and Employment one superintendent, two foremen, materials and equipment listed in the
application for a project entitled "Stom Sewer Construction". The estimated value
of this service is placed at $4,603.30.

the City kanager to investigate the feasibility of improving the water supply at this
time.

made by E. Y. I-cGrath, owner of plat and dedication covering Blocks 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 11,
and 12 of the Highland Irrigation Subdivision of Cyrus Eakrian Survey.
