The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls met
in regular called session at 10:00 O'clock A.M. on the above date
in the Council Room in the Memorial Auditorium with the following
members present:

Mark D. Walker,

ORDINANCE NO.1193
AN ORDIN&ME PROVIDING FOR THE INSTALLATION OF A MUNI-
CIPAL ELECTRIC LIGHT AND POWER SYSTEM INTHE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS,
TEXAS9 AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF ISSUE ITSICERTIFICATES OF INDEBTED-
NESS TO THE FEDERAL EMERGENCY ADMINISTRATION OF PUBLIC WORKS AND
PLEDGE THE INCOME ARISING FROM SAID EIECTRIC LIGHT AND POWER SYSTEM
AS SECURITY FOR THE PA)MOT OF SUCH INSTALLATION AIM FIXITU THE
PRICES TO BE CHARGED EIECTRIC LIGHT AND POWER CONSUMERS9 AND
DECLARIM AN EMERGENCYO
Moved by Alderman Taylor that Ordinance No. 1193 be passed
on its first reading,
Motion seconded by Alderman Miller and carried by the
f ollowing vote:
Yeas: Aldermen Taylor, Miller, Rodgers, Stokes, Stampfli,
and Walker.
Nays: None,
Moved by Alderman Taylor that the rules requiring ordinan
ces to be read on three separate days be suspended, an emergency
declared and Ordinance No.* 1193 be passed on its second reading,
Motion seconded by Alderman Miller and carried by the
f ollowing vote:
Yeas: Aldermen Taylor, Miller,, Walker, Rodgers, S�okes,
and Stampfli,
Nays: None,
After discussion-,by the Council, it was moved by Alderman
Taylor that Ordinance No. 1193 be passed on its third and final reading
and be adcpted as read,
Motion seconded by Alderman Miller and carried by the followin
vote:
Yeas: Aldermen Miller, Rodgers, Stokes, Stanpfli, Taylor,
and Walker.
Nays: None,
Moved by Alderman Rodgers that the City send Alderman Taylor
and Special Utility Counsel B. D. Sartin to Washington to file applica-
tion with the Federal Emergency Administration of Public Works with
expenses paid by the City.
Motion seconded by Alderman Miller and carried,
Moved by Alderman Taylor that Joe E. Ward, Engineer, be paid
$500.00 for his services in furnishing information for application for
loan from the Federal Goverment for building of a municipal light
plant.
Motion seconded by Alderman Miller and carried*
Moved by Alderman Stampfli that the meeting be adjourned.
Motion seconded by Alderman Walker and carried.
The Board of Aldermen then adjourned.
