The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls met in
regular called session at 10:30 A.M. on the above date in the Council
Chamber in the Memorial Auditorium with the following members present:
John T. Young, Mayor
Mark D. Walker, X
Mack Taylor, X
V. E. Stampfli, X Aldermen
L. C. Rodgers, Z
J. B. Stokes, X
A. H. Douglass, City Manager
W. E. George, Absent
Geo. T. Henderson, Acting City Clerk
Moved by Alderman Taylor that the Board of Aldermen
authorize J. T. Harrell to circulate a petition to narrow the
sidewalks on Scott Street.
Motion seconded by Alderman ?Talker and carried.
Moved by Alderman Taylor that the following resolution
be adopted:
RESOLUTION
The City Manager is hereby instructed to transmit by
registered mail a copy of the foregoing proposed ordinance to
the President of the Texas Electric Service Company at Fort
e Worth, Texas, specifying that the same will be introduced before
the City Council of Wichita Falls on December 10, 1934, and that
the said Texas Electric Service Company will take due notice of
this proposed ordinance, as follows:
AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE MAXIMUM CHARGES TO BE MADE BY
ANY PERSON, FIRM, CORPORATION, RECEIVER OR LESSEE FURNISHING
ELECTRICITY AND EIECTRICAL ENERGY FOR COhMERC IAL AND DOMESTIC
USE 'VITHIN THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, FIXING THE DATE
'FOR THE PAYMENT OF BIIIS AND PRESCRIBING PENALTIES VOR ITS
VIOLATION.
Motion seconded by Alderman Stokes and carried.
3 Moved by Alderman alker that the meeting be adjourned.
Motion seconded by Alderman Stampfli and carried.
The Board of Aldermen then adjourned.
