Min 11/26/1934 Wichita Falls, Texas Memorial Auditorium Building November 26, 1934 The Board of Aldermen. of the City of Wichita Falls met in regular session at 7 :30 P.M. on the above date in the Council Chamber in the Memorial Auditorium Building with the following members present : �T. T. Young , Mayor Mark D. Walker, L. C. Rodgers, Mack Taylor Aldermen V. E. Stampfli, J. B. Stokes,, A. H. Douglass, City L'I'anager The meeting was opened with prayer. The Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. Yoved by Alderman Stampfli that Geo. T. Henderson be ap- pointed Acting City Clerk during the absence of City Clerk J. H. Crouch with authority to sign warrants and other matters Dertaining to the duties of the City Clerk during his absence and until such time as the City Clerk returns to the City of Wichita Falls. Moved by Alderman Walker that the Board of Aldermen ap- prove for payment theaccount of Montgomery & 'Ward, Consulting En- gineers, in the amount of V�'75 .05 for services in connection with pending law suit against the Municipal Gas Co. Motion seconded by Alderman Steripfli and carried. Moved by Alderman Stampfli that the Board of Aldermen approve for payment the account of Huff, Jalker in the Mytinger and amount of $817.03 by virtue of a certain contract dated August 17 1925 by and between R. E. Huff, T. C. Mytinger and IL. D. -Walker and' the City of Wichita Falls providing said above amount be applied ion their city taxes. Motion seconded by Alderman Rodgers and carried. RESOLUTION WIFEREAS, it has come to the attention of - the 13oard of Aldermen of the City of ,',,ichita Faills , of "'.1ichita County, Texas, in regular session on this the 26th day of November, 1934, that the State Highway Department will order a location made on Highway Yo. 5, from Sixth Street and Scott Avenue - over Scott Avenue Route to the northwest City limits and Towa rark Highway, provided, the City of "Vichita. 7alls , through its Board of Aldermen, agrees to secure a minimum of One-Hundred foot, right-of-way, clear of all obstructions, except standing timber, and furnish without cost to the State, clear title to the necessary right-of-way, including all standing timber, through each and every tract crossed by said highway, and do the required fencing, on location approved by the State Highway Engineer before said location is made. It is , therefore, ordered that the City of Iffichita 'Falls, act- ing herein by and through its Board of Aldermen, agrees and obligates itself to secure a minimum of One-Fundred foot right-of-way. , and do the required fencing, on Highway No. 5 from Sixth Street and Scott Avenue - Over Scott Avenue Route to the Northwest City limits and Iowa Park Highway and to clear such right-of-way of all obstructions, except standing timber, and. furnish a clear title to each parcel secured,, in- cluding all standing timber, without cost to the State, through each and every tract crossed by this highway, on location to be approved by the State Highway Engineer.
