The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls met in
regular session on the above date at 7:30 P.M. in the Council Chamber
in the Memorial Auditorium with the following members present:
John T. Young, Mayor
Ray Puckett,
Mark D. Walker,
Mack Taylor, Aldermen
V. E. Stampflis
L. C. Rodgers,,
A. H. Douglass, City Manager
-J.- H. Crouch, City Clerk
W. E. George, City Attorney
The meeting was opened with prayer by W. E. George. The
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
Moved by Alderman Taylor that the application of John
Edward Chrysler for chauffeur's license be approved,
Motion seconded by Alderman Stampfli and carried.
Moved by Alderman Stampfli. that the $15.00 account of
W. L. Neel for rental on branch library building for month of
October be approved and paid.
Motion seconded by Alderman Rodgers and carried.
ORDINANCE NO 1176
AN ORDINANCE MAKING IT UNIAWFUL FOR ANY PERSON, BY ANY
ACT, SIGN, OR SIGNAL, KNOWINGLY TIO GIVE A FALSE AIARM OF FIRE, TO
OPEN ANY SIGNAL BOX, EXCEPT IN CASE OF FIRE OR THE PROBABIE DANGER
OF FIRE, OR IN ANY WAY TO TAMPER, MEDDLE, OR INTERFERE WITH ANY BOX
OR APPARATUS CONNECTED WITH THE FIRE ALARd TELEGRAPH SYSTEM OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS; AND PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR THE
VIOLATION THEREOF.
Moved by Aldermen Stampfli thAt Ordinance No. 1176 be
passed on its second reading.
Motion seconded by Alderman Rodgers and carried by the
following vote:
Yeas: Aldermen Stampfli,, Rodgers, Walker, Puckett,
Taylor, and Mayor Young,

ORDINANCE NO. 1178
AIN' ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR LICENSING OF COINI SIUG, OR CHECK
OPERATED MACHINES OPERATING GAMES OF SKILL OR OPERATED 'FOR AMUSEMWT OR
FOR THE PURPOSE OF VENDING AND MACHINES OPERATED FOR SIMILAR PURPOSES
PROVIDING FOR LICENSE FEE AND PENALTY FOR FAILURE TO OBTAIN LICENSE' ZD
PAY THE FEE PROVIDED HEREIN, AND PROVIDING FOR CANCEI LATION OF LICENSE
UPON CERTAIN CONDITIONS,
Moved by Alderman Walker that Ordinance No, 1178 b e passed on
its first reading.
Motion seconded by Alderman Rodgers and carried by the fol-
lowing vote:
Yeas: Aldermen Walker, Rodgers, Puckett, Taylor, Stampfli,
and Mayor Young,
Nays: None,
Moved by Alderman Rodgers that the Board of Aldermen approve
and allow the erection of a marble shaft or momument on the Auditorium
lawn to comm morate the Daughters of the Confedracy; said momument to
be erected by the Daughters of the Confedracy.
Motion seconded by Alderman Stampfli and carried.
By common consent the Council agreed to the appointment by
Mayor Young of A. L. Huey to act for the City, together with appointee
W. W. Camp, to adjust damages on Mr. Campts land.
Moved by Alderman Walker that the Council approve the payment
of the regular appropriation of $1,000.00, together with an additional
sum of $2,856.78, for the Wichita General Hospital,
Motion seconded by Alderman Puckett and carried.
Moved by Alderman Rodgers that the meeting be adjourned.
Motion seconded by Alderman Stampfli and carried.
The Board of Aldermen then adjourned.

The Board of Aldermen of the City of -,Jichita Falls met
in special, called session on the above date at 9:30 P.M. in the
Council Chamber in the Memorial Auditorium with the following
members present.,
John T. Young, Mayor
Mark D. Walker,
'V. E. Stampflis Aldermen
L. C. Rodgers,
Ray Puckett,
A. H. Douglass, City Manager
J. H. Crouch, City Clerk
W. E. George, City Attorney
Moved by Alderman Walker that Oral Jones be selected
Treasurer of the City of Wichita Falls and the City National Bank
in Wichita Falls be made the city depository effective October 91
1934.
Motion seconded by Alderman Puckett and carried.
Moved by Alderman Walker that the City Manager be
allowed to accept as bond for the city depository, bonds at market
value in the amount of the daily balance plus 2CK/o margin. Said
bonds to be acceptable to the City Manager and to be deposited by
the City National Bank with the Trust Officer in the Trust Depert-
ment of the Wichita National Bank and receipt be furnished the
City Manager by the Wichita National Bank; amount of bonds to be
increased or decreased as the city's daily balance increases or
decreases,Motion seconded by Alderman Puckett and carried,
Moved by Alde man Walker that Alderman Ray Puckett be
authorized and instructed to purchase bonds of the City of Wichita
Falls at the lowest quoted figures for the Interest and Sinking
Fund.
Motion seconded by Alderman Stampfli and carried.
Moved by Alderman Walker that the account of J. B. Marlow,
dated October 1933, be approved for payment with the understanding that
it be applied to pa�ment of city taxes owed by J. B. Marlow*
Motion seconded by Alderman Rodgers and carried.
Moved by Alderman Rodgers that the meeting be adjourned.
Motion seconded by Alderman Puckett and carried.
The Board of Aldermen then adjourned.
