George, City Attorney The 11inutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. Moved by Alderman Taylor that the schedule of surety bonds for city employees be set at the same amount carried in the preceding year with the exce-ption of the Park Superintendent to be $500.00 and the elimination of the se-r)arate co-verage of the Manager of the Water Department. Miotion second,:�d by Alderman Rodp,,ers and carried. Moved by Alderman Walker that chauffeur' s license for Tohn Tedford (colored) be approved. Motion seconded by Alderman Starrpfli and carried. Moved bv Alderman W- alker that the City Council ap V prove for payment the balance of the accounts due abstract comnanies f or the use of their books and records. Motion seconded by Alderman 9tarimfli and carried. Moved by Alderman Walker that the City of Wichita Falls maintain its membership in the League of Texas Municipalities and approve -payment of the membership fee. Motion seconded by Alderman Stampfli and carried by the following vote: 'Young. Yeas: Aldermen Puckett, Stampfli, Walker, and Mayor Neys: Aldermen Taylor and Rodgers. Moved by Alderman Taylor that the City Manager be authorized to transfer the sum of $200.00 from various accounts in Account #60 to Account #61 for improvements to Weeks Park Golf Club in connection with goverrmient allowances. Motion seconded by Alderman Walker and carried. The Council heard the reading of the proposed franchise of the Wichita Falls Gas Company; their request for granting of same and set the public hearing on said franchise for October 1, 19341 at 7 :30 P.M. Moved by Alderman Rodgers that the council meetings in the future be opened by prayer. Motion seconded by Alderman Taylor and carried. Moved by Alderman Stampfli that the meeting be adjourned. Motion seconded by Alderman Puckett and carried. The Board of Aldermen then adjourned. READ AND APPROVED this 24th day of September 1934. ATTEST: City Clerk
