The Board of Aldermen of the City of 17ichita Falls met in
regular session at 7 :30 P.M. on the above date in the Council Chamber
in the Ilemoria 1 Auditorium. Roll cal I indicated the following
members present:

ORDINANCE NO. 1160
AN ORDINANCE REQUIRING A CERTIFICATE OF PUBLIC CONVENIENCE
AND NECESSITY BEFORE THE CITY CLERK c-HA.LL ISSUE A LICENSE TO OPERATE
AUTOMOBILES FOR HIRE UNDER OrDINANCE NO. 331, PASSED AIZ APPROVED
ON THE 8TH DAY OF NOVSOER, A.D. 1920, AND THE AMENDMSqTS THERETO
LIMITING LICENSES TO ONE AUrOMOBILE FOR EACH TWO THOUSAND FIVE HUN-
DRED POPUIATION; PRESCRIBING A MINIMUM FEE TO BE CHARGED BY THE
OPERAT01:0 OF SUCH AUTOMOBILES AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY *
Moved by Alderman Myers that Ordinance No. 1160 be passed
on its second reading.
The motion was seconded, by Alderman Walker and carried by
the following vote:
Yeas: Aldermen Fox, Deaton, Myers, dalker, and Mayor Young.
Nays: Alderman Taylor.
Loved by Alderman T%ryers that the petition of residents and
property owners in the vicinity of the Falls Cleaners at 1612 Holli-
day Street p�fttesting against the smoke and cinders from the smoke
stack of the Falls Cleaners be referred to the fire marshall with
instructions to see that the situation is remedied,
The motion was seconded by Alderman -dalker and carried.
Moved by Alderman Taylor that the Veterans of All Wars headed
by L�illie (Dock) Hydrick be allowed to use Scotland Park for a 7ourth
of July picnic.
The motion was seconded by Alderman 11yers and carried.

The public hearing with reference to amending Section 10 Of
the City Charter was called and no protest was heard.
ORDINANCE NO. 1162
AN ORDINANCE ORDERING AN ELECTION IN THE CITY OF WICFITA
FALIS 9 TEXAS, TO BE HELD ON THE 27TH DAY OF JULY, A.D. 1934,, FOR THE
PURPOSE OF SUBMITTING TO -,HE QUALIFIED VOTERS OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLSV FOR ADOPTION OR REJECTION, AMEND= TO THE EXISTING CHARTER OF
THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, BY AMENDING SECTION 10 OF SAID CHAPTER TO
PROVIDE FOR AN ADDITIONAL ALDERYANt AND FOR TIE ELECTION OF SOME PERSOIT
AS SUCH ALDERMLN IN CASE SUCH AMENDITENT TO THE CHARTER IS ADOPTED,,
DESIGNATING THE PIACES AT *,,11HICH SAID ELECTION IS TO BE HELD, APPODITING
PRESIDING OFFICERS THEREOF, AND DECIARING AN EMERGENCY .

COVER THE NECESSARY EXPENSES OF VARIOUS DEPAPTIJENTS2 DIVISIONS, AND
OFFICES FOR THE PERIOD ENDI�'r,, JULY 1, 19349, AND DECIARIM A.N ETURGENCY.
Moved by Alderman Walker that Ordinance No. 1163 be passed
on its first reading.
Motion seconded by Alderman Taylor and carried by the fbl-
lowing vote:

and Ordinance No. 1163 be Dassed on its second reading.

Moved by Alderman Walker that T. T. Montgomery be paid the
sum of $125 .00 on his contract for legal services in the TaxMAn Refining 1�
Company case and the balance of $125.00 be pai,d when the case is
finally disposed of.
