The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wic::ita Falls met in called session on the
above date, in the Council Room of the Memorial Auditorium Bldg., at 11:00 o'clock A.M.,
with the following members present:
K. C. Spell Mayor
Bill G. Hale
Stayton M. Bonner
Milam J. Vaughan Aldermen
Joe Bailey 11,ieissner
Bill Thacker
Geo. T. Henderson City Clerk
H. A. Thomason City Manager
J. Walter Friberg City Attorney
Mayor K. C. Spell stated the purpose of this meeting to be the consideration
of a compromise settlement of the law suit against the City for Weeks Park.
After having heard the recommendation of Ernest Robertson, Special Cours6l
for the City, in the suit, the following motion was made:

Moved by Alderman MxJm that the Board of Aldermen does hereby accept the
recommendation of its attorneys Friberg and Robertson and accept a compromise
settlement of 017,500.00P payable as follows:
2500.00 now, and
5000.00 Oct. 1, 1958
' 5000.00 " 1, 1959 and
5000.00 " 1, 1960, with 3% interest annually;
further, to authorize the City's attorneys to prepare such document, or documents or papers
as may be necessary to perfect the above settlement, and further, to authorize and empower
the City Manager, or Mayor K. C. Spell to execute for and on behalf of the City of Wichita
Falls any and all instruments as may be required.
Motion seconded by Alderman Hale and carried.
Moved by Alderman Thacker that the meeting be adjourned.
Motion seconded by Alderman Hale and carried.
The Board of Aldermen then adjourned.
