Bill Betts., Pastor Wesley Methodist Church. - - - - - - - - - - Moved by Aldeman,Foley that the Board of Aldermen does hereby approve the Minutes of the regular meeting held March 10., 1958, Motion seconded by Alderman Jarratt and carried. - - - - - - - - -- Moved by Alderman Jarratt that the Board of Aldermen does hereby approve and ratify the Minutes of the Park Board meeting held March 18, 1958, copy of which is attached hereto and made a part of Aie records hereof. Motion seconded by Alderman Hale and carried. - - - - - - - - - - Moved by Alderman Hale that permission is hereby granted to the Southwest Rotary Club to construct and erect a Boy Scout Hut in Edgemere Park, it being distinctly understood and agr4ed by both parties hereto that the entire cost of constructing and erecting the said Boy Scout Hut shall be borne by the Southwest Rotary Club and thereafter maintained and operated by the said Southwest Rotary Club., and at no time to be paid by the City of Wichita Falls; it being further understood and agreed by both parties hereto that title to the building and all improvements to be erected and constructed in said Edgemere Park shall be vested in the City of Wichita Falls; further to authorize and empower Mayor K. C. Spell ., or City Manager H. A. Thomason., to execute a contract for the same on behalf of the City of Wichita Falls. Route #2 Kemp, Monroe, Hayes & Holliday to be discontinued at 7:45 P.1-1. each week day. at 6:55 P.M. each week day. , Route #3, Scotland & Harrison, to be discontinued Route A, Barkise & Sunnyside Heights to be discontinued at 5:35 P.M. each week day. Route #5, Sheppard Field to be discontinued at 12:05 P.M. each day. Licenses and Registration Required All dogs kept, harbored, or maintained by their owners in the City of Wichita Falls shall be licensed and registered if over 2 months of age. Dog licenses shall be issued by the Chief of Police upon payment of a ..1icense fee of $1.00 for each dog, male or female. The Chief of Police may autho'rize any licensed veterinarian to be his agent to collect the license tax. The owner shall state at the time application is made for such license, and upon printed forms provided for such purpose., his name and address, and the name,, breed., color and sex of each dog owned or kept by him. The provision of this section shall not be intended to appiv to dogs whose owners are non-resid�nts temporarily within the City., nor to dogs brought into the City -,"Or the purpose of -)articipating in any dog show. Dat in no event shall the Chief of Police, or his duLr a.uthor-zed agent, issue a license tag to any owner of a dog unless and until such owner shall furnish a vaccination certificate issued by a licensed veterinarian. It shall be unlawful for the owner of any dog to keep or maintain such dog unless it shall have been vaccinated by a licensed veterinarian with C> anti -rabies vaccine within one year precedin-- the date on which such dog is kept and maintained. The Club requested permission to build A Boy Scout Hut in Edgemere Park. After much discussion, the following action was taken. Motion # 594: Mrs. Whiting moved that the Board recommend to the City Council that the Southwest Rotary Club be permitted to erect a BOY Scout Hut in Edgemere Park upon approval of the surrounding home owners. Motion seconded by: Mr. Harvey. Motion carried. . Shem Cunningham appeared before the Board to make a request to IT:241 '-'Ir Park that was deeded to the GitY� re-locate the park in University . THERE ARE OVER ONE HUNDRED THIRTY ( 130) CUB SCOUTS IN THE FAIN SCHOOL AREA AT THIS TIME, MANY OF THESE BOYS WILL BE GOING INTO BOY SCOUT WORK WHEN THEY BECOME OF AGE* AT THIS TIME THE TROOP IS HOLDING THEIR MEETINGS AT THE WEEKS PARK CLUB HOUSE, WHICH IS NOT AN IDEAL PLACE FOR THEIR MEETINGS. MR.. SPENCER ELLIS HAS AGREED TO WORK WITH US ON A BUILDING WHICH CAN BE USED IN CONNECTION WITH PARK ACTIVITIES, FOR WICH 1,'JE ',RE GRATEFUL.
