The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, met in called session
on the above date, at 5 o'clock P.M.p in the Council Room of the Memorial Auditorium Bldg..,
with the following members present:
K. C. Spell Mayor
Bill G. Hale
J. D. Hall., M.D.
Tom C. Foley Aldermen

Mayor K. C. Spell stated the purpose of this meeting to be., among other things,
the awarding of bids opened at the regular meeting held July 22., 1957.

Moved by Alderman Foley that, on the recommendation of F. M. Rugeley., Director
of Public Works., the Mayor be authorized to sign a Conveyance.. transferring the property
reserved by the City of Wichita Falls for drainage ditch in Deed dated June 10, 1952, to
t e University Park Corporation, in return for a Conveyance from the University Park Corp.
cIvering the property the drainage ditch now occupies.
Motion seconded by Alderman Mitchell and carried.

Moved by Alderman Jarratt., in accordance with bids received July 22,, 1957,, for
electrical conductor cablej that the Electric Motor Company be awarded the contract on their
bid of 0152.00, with discount of 1/2 of 1%. this being the best bid.
Motion seconded by Alderman Foley and carried.

Moved by Alderman Hale, in accordance with bids opened July 22 1957. for ingot
lead, that the Bailey Meissner Co. be awarded the contract on their bid of $14.59 per cwt.
this being the lowest and best bid,
Motion seconded by Alderman Mitchell and carried.

Moved by Aldeman Hale., inasmuch as both bids received July 22., 1957., for cement
asbestos pipe were identical, that the contract be divided equally between the two bidders.,
Morrison Supply Co, and Bailey-Meissner Co. on their bid of $1.56 per ft. for 61, pipe
and $2.20 per ft. for 811 pipe.
Motion seconded by Alderman Jarratt and carried.

Moved by Alderman Hale., in accordance with bids received July 22 1957. for cement
lined CI pipe, that the McWane C.I. Pipe Co. be awarded the contract on their bid of
$3600,00, this being the lowest and best bid.

The Committee of the 8ounci-I as a whole appointed at the regular meeting July
22, 1957,, having made their report and all interested parties being given a hearing on
parking problems in the 1300 block 11th St... the following motion was made:
Moved by Alderman Foley that the Pertition for the removal of No Parking Signs
from 4 Pm to 6 Pm
,, and the removal of parallel parking signs, on the north side of the
1300 block llth St.
., be denied, in conformity with the recommendations of The Traffic
Commission.
Motion seconded by Aldeman Jarratt and carried by the following vote:
Yeas: Aldennen Hale, Foley, Mitchell and Jarratt.
Nays: Alderman Hall.
Moved by Alderman Mitchell that the meeting be adjourned.
