The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, met in called session
on the above date, at 12:00 o'clock A.M., in the Council Room of the Memorial Auditorium
Bldg., with the following members present:
K. C. Spell Mayor
J. D. Hall, M.D. I
Tom C. Foley Aldermen
Avery Mitchell
J. B. Jarratt
Geo. T. Henderson City Clerk
H. A. Thomason City Manager
Theo Leuders Asst. City Attorney
Mayor K. C. Spell stated the purpose of this meeting, among other things, t*, be
the awarding of the bid for purchase of sewer pipe for the Sanitary Sewer System.

Moved by Alderman Foley, in accordance with bids opened at the last regular
meeting held July Sth, the Board of Aldermen does hereby accept the recommendation of the
City Manager and Director of Public Works, and award the bid to the lowest and best bidder,
Tex-Vit Supply Co., on their bid price of $15.00 per ft. for 36", 43.59 per ft. for 3311,
and $8.50 per ft. for 2711, #1 V.C. Pipe, all fob cars factory, with full frt, allowed at
present rates to Wichita Falls, for shipment in minimum carload quantities; Terms 1% 10 days,
Net 30 days.
Motion seconded by Alderman Jarratt and carried.
Moved by Alderman Jarratt that the Board of Aldermen does hereby accept the offer
of First Southwest Co. of Dallas to print the bonds and furnish a brochure, etc, of the
$500,000. Sewer Bond offer or sale, at a price of $$2.90 per bond, and hereby authorizes
the City Manager, or Mayor, to execute a contract with said First Southwest Co. at this
price for and on behalf of the City of Wichita Falls.
Motion seconded by Alderman Mitchell and carried.
Moved by Alderman Hall that the Board of Aldermen does hereby officially appoint
.Roscoe Staton, Homer Karrenbrock and Paul Dowdy to serve on the City of Wichita Falls Tax
Equalization Board for the year 1957.
Motion seconded by Alderman Jarratt and carried.
Moved by Alderman Mitchell that the Board of Aldermen does hereby authorize the
Director of Public Works to issue a sidewalk permit to Baptist Student Union to construct
a 6 ft. sidewalk abutting the curb in front of their building in the 3500 block on Taft St.
Motion seconded by Alderman Hall and carried.
Moved by Alderman Foley that the meeting be adjourned.
Motion seconded by Alderman Mitchell and carried.
The Board of Aldermen then adjourn
