Emergency Medical Services Advisory Board Minutes - 01/13/20161 Wichita Falls Fire Department Office of Fire Chief 1005 Bluff Street Wichita Falls, TX 76301 (940) 761-7901 / Fax (940) 761-7900 2016 EMS Advisory Board Meeting Minutes January 13, 2016 2:00 p.m. ITEM 1 Introduction of Board and Guests Board Members Present - CM Darron Leiker, Fire Chief Jon Reese, Burk CA Mike Whaley, Iowa Park CA Jerry Fleming, Dr. John Hilmi, Dr. Scott Myers, Nancy Berend, Dan King. Board Members Absent - Councilor Brian Hooker, Judge Woody Gossum Guests Present – Kenny Hoffman (AMR), Kinley Heglund (WF City Attorney) ITEM 2 Election of Board Chair A nomination for Jon Reese was made by CM Leiker and seconded by Mike Whaley. No other nominations. Jon Reese elected as Chair for 2016. ITEM 3 Review of Board’s Roles and Responsibilities Chief Reese read over the Board’s duties and goals, and the frequency of meetings required by Ordinance. The Board will meet once annually in January. Next meeting is January 2017. ITEM 4 Review of AMR Annual Report Chief Reese provided each member and guest a packet that contained the current contract, 2015 Revenue Report, and Monthly Compliance Report which has the number of responses per jurisdiction. Chief Reese presented the Wichita Falls report and stated that AMR is in compliance with their contractual obligations. 2 ITEM 5 Review and Complaints or Concerns There were no complaints or concerns brought to the Board. ITEM 6 Contract Renewal We discussed that the present contract with AMR expires in November 2017 so Chief Reese asked each entity to bring back in January 2017 any changes they would like to see. CA Fleming indicated he would like to possibly go out for Request for Proposals (RFP) for the next contract period. We will discuss this at the next meeting in January 2017. No other business was brought to the Board.
