OLD BUSINESS
1. Recommendation that a "No Parking 4 p.m. - 6 p.m." restriction be applied to
the west side of Holliday Road from Smarsh Street to Blonde and Twenty-Fourth
to the south city limits,
Motion made by Martin Nelson to approve recommendation. Seconded by
Maurice McCall. Carried unantmously.
2 . Recommendation for speed zoning on Hampstead Lane.
hotion made by Martin Nelson that the speed limit on Hampstead Lane between
Sara Sue and Hamilton Boulevard be changed from 30 mph to 35 mph. Seconded
by Maurice McCall. Carried unanimously.
3. A public hearing on the desirability of installing east-west one-way
streets to extend from Ohio to Brook Avenue.
Motion made by Maurice McCall to table this item. Seconded by Jack Christopher.
Carried unanimously.
NEW FUSINESS
1. Recommendation for "Parallel Parking" north side, 1300 Block Eleventh Street.
Motion made by Martin Nelson to table recommendation for further study,
Seconded by Maurice McCall, Carried unanimously.
2 . Request for a "No Parking Any Time" restr]-ction on the north side of Barwise
Street between Park and Lake Streets.
Motion made by Martin Nelson to deny request. Seconded by Maurice McCall.
Carried unanimously.
3. Request for additional space at temporary taxi stand on the northwest
corner at Eighth Street And Indiana Avenue.
Motion made by Maurice McCall that the request be granted with the
stipulation that periodic occupancy surveys be taken by the Traffic Engineer
to determine if the stands are being used. The results of these surveys
are to be reported to the Traffic Commission for their consideration.
Seconded by Martin Nelson. Carried unanimously.
A motion was made by G.H. Kirby to recommend to the City Council that they
appoint a committee from the Council to meet with the Traffic Commission
to re-evaluate the makeup of the Traffic Commission. Seconded by Maurice
McCall. Carried unanimously.
There being no further business, meeting was adjourned at 3:58 p.m.
The next meeting of the Traffic Commission will be held on the 17th of
January, 1957 at 2:00 p.m. in the City Council Room in the Memorial Auditorium.

These adjustments consist of real estate, personal
property and automobile cancellations, errors in
valuation or acreage, double assessments, church
property which is exempt, improvements made before

January lst of the year, non-residents of Wichita
Falls and additions to the tax rolls.
I recommend that these adjustments be approved.
