Memorial Auditorium Bldg.,
December 10, 1956
The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, met in regular session
in the Council Room of the Memorial Auditorium Bldg., on the above date, at 8 o'clock P.M.,
with the following members present:

The Invocation was given by Roy Lee Williams, Minister of Education, First
Baptist Church.
Moved by Alderman Jarratt that the Minutes of the regular Council meeting held
November 262 1956, be and the same are hereby approved.
Motion seconded by Alderman Foley and carried.
A petition, bearing 23 signatures, was presented to the Council, complaining
of inadequate drainage system in the 4400 and 4500 blocks on McNeil Street, and requested
the City to determine whether or not the City, or the Hughes Development Co., is responsible
for maintaining an adequAte drairg system, whereupon the City Manager stated F. M. Rugely,
Director of Public Works, would investigate the situation. The petition was ordered filed
in the Office of the City Clerk.
Alderman Jarratt gave a verbal report on the matter of the City and County
paying insurance charges on the Wichita General Hospital buildings and plant, whereupon
by request of Mr. Jarratt, the matter was deferred for further study.
Moved by Alderman Hyatt that the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized
to purchase of Thornton & Co. of Dallas one $1000.00, par value, First Mortgage Water
Revenue Refunding Series 1956 bond, No. 288, maturing 4-1-60, at a cost of $975,00, and
y direct the City Clerk to draw a check for the same, payable out of the Interest Fund,
as property for the Interest & Sinking Fund Securities account.
Motion seconded by Alderman Jarratt and carried.

Moved by Alderman Foley that the Board of Aldermen does hereby dispense with the
regular meeting scheduled to be held in the Council Room of the Memorial Auditorium December
24, 1956.
Motion seconded by Alderman Reichmuth and carried.
Moved by Alderman Reichmuth that the Board of Aldermen does hereby authorize
payment to J. C. Oliver the sum of $16,500.60 for Estimate No. 4 on Booster Pump Station
Improvements, and direct the City Clerk to draw a check for the same, payable out of the
Water Bond Improv. Ser. 1955 fund.

Moved by Alderman Reichmuth that the Board of Aldermen does hereby authorize
personal tax adjustments as set forth in Re-cap Adjustments #276 to 459, copy of which
is attached hereto and made a part of the records hereof.

Moved by Alderman Foley that the Board of Aldermen does hereby authorize pay-
ments on Water and Sewer Reimbursement contracts, as follows:

Moved by Alderman Reichmuth that the proposed sale of approximately 60 acres of
land at Lakeview Cemetery be deferred principally for reason that the City Ydater Plant
facilities are insufficient to supply water for this area for a new housing addition, and
the same be referred back to the Park Board.

TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF SAID CITY TO EXECUTE A QUITCLAIM DEED TO C. F. SCHRAM AND
FRANK SCHM.I, DOING BUSINESS AS RIVidZSIDE BOILER & traLDING COMPANY OF THE FOLLOWING PROPER-
TY TO=dIT: LOTS 11, 12, 13 and 14 IN BLOCK NO. 63 OF THE ORIGINAL TON NSITE OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, WICHITA COUNTY, TEXAS.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALD-1dUIEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, I ICHITA
COUNTY, TEXAS:
WHEREAS, on the 22nd day of November, 1940, the Wichita Falls Independent School
District as Trustee .for the Wichita Falls Independent School District, State of Texas,
Wichita County, Wichita Falls, Wichita County Water Improvement District No. 1 and Wichita
Falls Junior College District obtained judgment against the Union Properties Company for
delinquent taxes on the following described land in Wichita County, Texas, to wit:
Lots 11, 12, 13 qad 14 in Block No. 63 of the Original Townsite of Wichita
Falls, Wichita County, Texas
in the amount of some Seven Hundred Dollars WOO 00), such judgment fixing the value of
the property at Three Hundred Seventy Dollars ( 370.00), and
WHEaEAS, the Wichita Falls Independent School District bought in all of such
lots at the ensuing -tax sale for the adjudged value, and
WHEREAS, the Wichita Falls Independent School District executed a quitclaim
deed to such lots to B. S. W. Jonea, under whom Frank Schram and C. F. Schram, doing
business as Riverside Boiler & Welding Company, claim their title, in consideration of the
stun of Two Hundred Dollars (�200.00), and

WHEREAS, the sale by the Wichita Falls Independent School District, who purchased
the property as Trustee at the tax sale, was for less than the adjudged value, and
WHEREAS, under Article 7345B of the Texas Revised Civil Statutes, it is necessary
that the City of Wichita Falls, Wichita County, State of Texas, join in the conveyance of such
property when the sale is for less than the adjudged value, and
1',IMEAS, the City of Wichita Falls, State of Texas, did so consent to such sale,
but failed to join in the conveyance thereof,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE Mayor of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, is hereby authorized
and directed to execute on behalf of the City of Wichita Falls a quitclaim deed to C. F.
Schram and Frank Schram, doing business as Riverside Boiler & Welding Company, conveying all
of Lots 11, 12, 13 and 14 in Block No. 63 of the Original Townsite of the City of Wichita Falls,
Wichita County, Texas on behalf of the City of WichitaFalls.
Moved by Alderman Reichmuth that Resolution No. 302 be and the same is hereby
adopted and passed as read.
Motion seconded by Alderman Foley and carried by the following vote:
Yeas: Aldermen Hyatt, Reichmuth, Foley and Jarratt.
Nays: None.
Moved by Alderman Reichmuth that the meeting be adjourned.

This is a re-car of adjustments +276_459 which
consist of automobile cancellations only,

$1,041.42.
These cancellations consist of automobiles
assessed and not owned January lst of the
year, owners residing outside the city limits,
non-residents of Wichita Falls , double assess-
ments and servicemen.
I recommend that these cancellations be approved.
