grant the request of Paul J. Pod Jr., Architect, representative of the Beacon Baptist
Church, that the South 115 feet of the alley in Block 118 of Highland Addition, be
closed to public traffic and in lieu thereof, the public be allowed to use the No
35 feet of Lot 14 in said Block 118. rth

Moved by Alderman Mitchell that the Board of Aldermen does hereby approve and
authorize the execution of a Water Main Reimbursement Contract by and between Sunnyside
Development Co. and the City of Wichita Falls, for water mains in Sections
her toaaand

in Sunnyside Heights Addition, for a consideration of $17,515,23;
empower City Manager H. A. Thomason to execute the same for and on behalf of the City of
Wichita Falls.

Moved by Alderman Banner that the Board of Aldermen does hereby authorize
payment to Janie Brown the sum of $�6.09 on account of double payment of personal taxes
on one automobile for the year 1955, and does hereby authorize and direct the City Tax
Assessor and Collector to refund the same.
Motion seconded by Alderman Foley and carried.
Moved by Alderman Mitchell that the Board of Aldermen does hereby authorize
payment .to Wichita General Hospital the sum of $8751.83 for charity patients for the month
of September, and direct the City Clerk to draw a check for the same.

Moved by Alderman Banner that the Board of Aldermen does hereby authorize and
direct the City Attorney to enter into a contract i%rith Barry B. Donnell for the purpose
Of leasing to him the West 40 ft. of that portion of Colorado Street, lying between the
South Line of Waco Street and the North Line of Scott Avenue, for a period of years,
for a consideration of $50.00 monthly rental, or as nearly $50.00 per month as possible,
with provision that the City may terminate the contract in the event the City elects to
open such street for use of the public, by refunding any unused portion of rental paid.
The City Attorney is further directed to insert other advisable clauses in the Contract
as are recited in the Agreement :Wade with Dan Peters Sept. 28, 1954, and does hereby
authorize and empower City Manager, H. A. Thomason to execute the said Lease Agreement for
and on behalf of the City.

Moved by Alderman Mitchell that the Board of Aldermen does hereby authorize
and direct the City Attorney to draw a Release for the purpose of cancelling and abandoning
the utility easements, as shown on the official Plat and Dedication of Sikes Estates
Subdivision, an Addition to the City of Wichita Falls, which gave and granted a 10 ft.
utility easement between Lots 3 and 4, of Block 1, Section "A" of such Addition, insofar
as it covers and pertains to the North 5 feet of Lot 4, and the South 5 feet of Lot 3,
Block 1, of Sikes Estates Subdivision, Section "A", an addition to the City of T,,Tichita Falls,
Wichita County, Texas; and does further hereby authorize and empower Mayor K. C. Spell to
execute the said Release for and on behalf of the City of 7�'�ichita Falls.
Motion seconded by Alderman Banner and carried unanimously.
