The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, met in the Council Room
of the Memorial Auditorium Bldg... on the above date,, at 10:00 A.M.,, in called session., with
the following members present:
K. C. Spell Mayor
Roy C. Hyatt
Jack G. Banner
Tom C. Foley k1dermen
Avery Mitchell
J. B. Jarratt

Mayor K. C. Spell stated the purpose of this meeting to be further consideration
of ordinance No. 1763.

In accordance with the Charter,, a second public hearing of Ordinance No. 1763
was, in all respects duly held, at which time the same was discussed both pro and con.
,' Alderman Banner., chairman of a committee previously appointed to investigate the advisa-
bility of granting a taxicab rate increase, recommended the adoption of Ordinance No. 1763,
and that taxi drivers be given an increase of 21 on a flat rate basis.

There being no opposition voiced against Ordinance No. 1763 from the audience,
the following motion liras made:
Moved by Alderman Jarratt that the second hearing of Ordinance No. 1763 be and
the same is hereby closed.
Motion seconded by Alderman Banner and carried by the following vote:
Yeas: Aldermen Hyatt, Banner, Foley, Mitchell and Jarratt.
Nays: None.

Moved by Alderman Foley that Ordinance No. 1763 be and the same is hereby
approved and passed as read.
Motion seconded by Alderman Hyatt and earried by the following vote:
Yeas: Aldermen Hyatt, Banner,, Foley, 11itchell and Jarratt,
Nays: None.

Mayor K. C. Spell appointed L. B. Dean to fill the unexpired term of Tom C.
Foley on the Planning Board, whereupon the following motion was made:
Moved by Alderman Hyatt that the Board of Aldermen does hereby approve and
ratify the appointment made by Mayor K. C. Spell of L. B. Dean to fill the unexpired
term of Tom C Foley on the Planning Board,, whose term shall expire June 14, 1957.
Motion seconded by Alderman Jarratt and carried.
