Motion seconded by Alderman Burross and carried unanimously. 1/ 4 Moved by Alderman Burross that the Mayor be authorized to sign a contract with tile Southside Girls Club of Wichita Falls, granting a 25-year lease in Southern Hills park for a club house site. Motion seconded by Alderman Wade and carried unanimously. Moved by Alderman I'V�ade that Mr. It. M. Garrett, Jr. be appointed to the Electrical Advisory Board to fill the vacancy created by Mr. Lowell Shawver having been transferred away from Wichita Falls. Motion seconded by Alderman McBride and carried unanimously. 6 ORDINANCE NO. 2050 AN ORDINANCE DETERMINING THE NECESSITY FOR AND ORDERING AND PROVIDING FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF A PORTION OF HARDING STREET FROM ROSEWOOD TO T-10 PSON N1 ROAD AND PORTIONS Of.' Moved by Alderman Wade that Ordinance No. 2051 be passed. Nays: None ORDINANCE NO. 2052 10 ORDINANCE MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR PART PAYMENT OF TEXAS HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT PROPERTY. Moved by Alderman Burross that Ordinance No. 2052 be passed. Motion seconded by Alderman Wade and passed by the following vote: Ayes: Mayor Gavin, Aldermen Wallander, Burrosso McBride, Claytor, and Wade. Nays: None Moved by Alderman Wallander that the City Manager Mr. Jack Davis be authorized to 11 negotiate the purchase of a motor grader with scraper attachment for use of the [lark De- partment at a maximum Cost of $27,000. Motion seconded by Alderman Burross and passed unanimously. Moved by Alderman Wallander that the City Manager, Director of Parks and Recrea- tion, and Alderman Claytor, Council representative on the Park Board, be authorized to nego- tiate the purchase of play ground equipment at an approximate cost of $25,000.00. Motion seconded by Alderman Wade and carried unanimously. Moved by Alderman McBride that authority be granted to advertise for bids on ma- terials and fabrication for a grand stand for Scotland Park. Motion seconded by Alderman Claytor and carried unanimously. Moved by Alderman Claytor that the final plat of the R. H. Mitchell subdivis ion be approved. Mr. Charles Harper, Architect was recognized and publicly expressed the thanks of the sponsors of the club house for the Southside Girls Club for approval of the lease for a building site. Mayor Gavin next stated that if there was no further business he would entertain a motion to adjourn. moved by Alderman Claytor that the meeting be adjourned.
