on the above date, in the Council Room of the Memorial Auditorium Building, at 7:00 o'clock
P.M.., with the following members present:

Moved by Alderman Wallander that the high bid of Don Baxter be accepted in

6 In presenting the Minutes of the Traffic Commission meeting, held December 11 ,
1962, Mayor Gavin commented on Item No. 4, calling attention to the commendation of the
Police Department by the Traffic Commission. Alderman Witcher asked Traffic Engineer
Jolliff if he thought that free Saturday afternoon parking was a help to the Down Town
Merchants. Mr. Jolliff's answer was in the affirmative.

H. P. Hodge, Jr. City Attorney, presented the request of C. C. McDonald, 25
Attorney., concerning the adjustment of taxes on property sold by Cliff Moore Lumber Co.
to the State of Texas, for right-of-way for the new Expressway.
The City Attorney was instructed to try to work out a solution with Mr.
McDonald and Robt Winters, Tax Assessor and Collector.
