The Invocation was given by Alderman Don Wade. - - - - - - - - - - 3 Moved by Alderman Burross that the Minutes of the regular meeting held April 9., 1962, and the special called meeting held April 12., 1962,, be� approved as read. Motion seconded by Alderman Witcher and carried. 4 Bids for construction of 2340 lineal feet of 811 water line and necessar7 fittings., having been received prior to Council meeting by the City Clerk., were opened., read and turned over to John P, Ruhmanns Director of Vtilitiess and J. E. Biggs, Jr., Consulting Fingineer,, for tabulation, The bids were as follows: Morris Plumbing Company $6.,437.00 B. & G Construction Company 6.,598-48 Tom Gillispie Construction Co. 6023-11 Moved by Alderman Witcher that the-low,bid of Morris Plumbing Company be accepted of 8" et and contract be awarded to Morris Plumbing Co. for construction of 2340 lineal fe water main and necessary fittings, Motion seconded by Alderman Claytor and carried unanimously, - - - - - - - - - - 5 Moved by Alderman Wallander that request from Parker Square Shopping Center be granted., and permit be to operate a "Ride-O-Ramal from April 23rd through April 30th. issued for same under the same condition as last year; this project being operated on private property. Motion seconded by Alderman Wade and carried. - - - - - - - - - - 422 It em No. Moved by Aldenmn Wallander that the Minutes of the Traffic Commission meeting., 7 held April 10, 1962p be received, Motion seconded by Alderman Claytor and carried. - - - - - - - - - - Alderlman Witcher asked the Traffic Engineer for clarification on the proposal to make 18th Street, from Austin to Travis., a two-Way street. Mr. Jolliff recommended the change and was supported by Mr. Bob Gaston. Mr. Jolliff was asked by Alderman Burross for an estimate on the length of time necessary for signalization of the truck route. Mr. Jolliff ,stated it w-)uld probably take six months. - - - - - - - - - - Mayor Gavin explained to the audience that the motion to approve Minutes of the 8 various Boards was usually made by the Council representative, v Moved by Alderman Witcher that the Minutes of the Planning Board meeting., held April 11, 1962, be received. Motion seconded by Alderman Wallander and carried. - - - - - - - - - - Aldennan Witcher called attention to Paragraph 2 of Section 9., of the Planning 8-a Board Minutes. - - - - - - - - - - Moved by Alderman Burross that the low bid of B & G Construction Co. for the 9 re-location of sewers along the proposed Expressway between Sibley and Jacksboro Highway be accepted.. in amount of $38 ,,595-39., and that a contract be awarded to the B & G Construc- tion Co, for this project, 'A Motion seconded by Aldennan Wallander and carried unanimously. - - - - - - - - - - Moved by Alderman Wallander that the low bid of International Harvester Co. -- 10 for tractor to be used by the Park Departmentj, in amount of $2.,494,89., be accepted, and contract awarded ,to International Harvester Co. Mr. C. J.
