on the above date, in the Council Room of the Memorial Auditorium Bldg., at 2-30 o'clock
P.M., with the following members present:

4 Moved by Alderman Ledford that the Minutes of the regular meeting held May 23, 1960,
be and the same are hereby approved.

4-A Moved by Alderman Witcher that the Minutes of the special meetings held May 26,
and June 6, respectively, be and the same are hereby approved.

5 Alderman Meissner, chairman of the special Committee appointed by Mayor Johnson,
to study and report on proposed gas rate increase, presented the report of the Committee,
copy of which is attached hereto.
Moved by Alderman Meissner that the report be accepted.
Motion seconded by Alderman Ledford and carried.
ORDINANCE NO. 1905
AN ORDINANCE FIXING AND DETERMINING,THE GENERAL SERVICE RATE TO BE CHARRED FOR SALES
OF NATURAL GAS AND NATURAL GAS SERVICE TO RESIDENTIAL AND COMMERCIAL CONSUMERS WITHIN THE
CITY LIMITS OF WICHITA FALLS, WICHITA COUNTY, TEXAS, PROVIDING FOR THE MANNER IN WHICH SUCH
RATE MAY BE CHANGED, ADJUSTED AND AMENDED.
Moved by Alderman Meissner that Ordinance No. 1905 be and the same is hereby
approved and passed as read.
Motion seconded by Alderman Ledford and carried by the following vote:

6 A letter from the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority was presented asking that they be granted
,,permission to use 2 parking meter spaces in front of Kress' on Indiana for display purposes
on Saturdays, June 18, June 25 and July 2nd. Mr. James Sappington spoke on behalf of the
request.
Moved by Alderman Thoes that the request be granted.

The matter of delinquent taxes on certain property in Block 113, Original Townsit e, 7
Wichita Falls, as presented in a letter from Ernest Robertson, Attorney, came up for con-
sideration, together with a letter of recommendation from Ben C. Armstrong Tax-Assessor-
Collector, and Cody Greer, Asst. City Attorney.
Moved by Alderman Meissner, in line with recommendation of Ben C. Armstrong, Tax
Assessor-Collector and Cody Greer, Asst. City Attorney, that the compromise tax offer of
Parker Square State Bank in the sum of $2000.00 be accepted for all delinquent taxes due
on the following described tracts of land, towit:
All of Lots ll and 12, and East 70 feet of Lots 8, 9 and 10, and the North 30
feet of the West 80 feet of Lot 10, all in Block 113 of the Original Townsite
of Wichita Falls, Texas;
and that the Tax Assessor and Collector issue a proper tax receipt and execute an assign-
ment of all tax liens and judgment liens held by the City of Wichita Falls on said property
after compliance with Vernon's Annotated Civil Statutes, Article 7345a, Section 2.

The request of Stayton M. Bonner regarding paving approaches to Morris Plumbing
Co. on 37th St., was, by common consent of the Council, deferred until the next meeting.

Mayor Kenneth Johnson announced the appointment of Mr. Joe Wolverton, First
Wichita National Bank, Mr. C. B. Johnson, Parker Square State Bank, and Mr. Jack Jeffus
City National Bank to the Ma its Industrial Develop
ment pment Committee; this Committee to
act as a liaison between the Chamber of Commerce Industrial Development Committee and the
City Council; also to act in an advisory capacity to the City Council on Industrial
Problems., with Mr. Solon R. Featherston, acting as Chairman.
Moved by Alderman Ray that the above appointments by the Mayor be approved.

AN ORDINANCE POUNDING SECTIONS I AND II OF ORDINANCE NO. 445, ALSO KNaIN AS
SECTIONS 7-100, AND 7 1001.1 OF TITLE 7, CHAPTER 10 OF THE 1941 CODIRICATION OF ORDINANCES
OF THE CITY OF YvICHITA FALLS AS THE SAME HAS BEEN HERETOFORE AMENDED BY ORDINANCES 1121,
1132, 1381, 1791, 1804, 1883 and 1903 WHICH ORDINANCE AND ITS AMENDMENTS PROVIDED FOR THE
RULES, REGULATIONS AND RATES FOR THE OBERATION AND MANAGEMENT OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS
WATER DEPARTMENT.

14 Moved by Alderman Meissner that the Board of Aldermen approve a contract between
., the Fort Worth and Denver Ry Co. and the City of Wichita Falls for a 2011 pipe line
across Fort Worth & Denver Ry. Co. right-of-way at or near M.P. W-5.55; further, that Mayor
Johnson be authorized to sign said contract for and on behalf of the City of Wichita Falls.

15 Moved by Alderman Meissner that the Board of Aldermen approve a contract between
the Fort Worth and Denver Ry. Co. and the City of Wichita Falls for a z411 water line
across Fort Worth & Denver Ry Co. right-of-way at M.P. 116.92; further, that Mayor Johnson
sbe authorized to execute said contract for and on behalf of the City of Wichita Falls.

RESOLUTION NO. 418

WHEREAS, the developers of Section T-1, University Park Addition to the City of
Wichita Falls have heretofore filed a plat which has been approved by the Board of Alder-
men of the City of Wichita Falls; and
WHEREAS, said plat included a ten (101) foot utility easement along the west
side of Lot 14 of Block 6 of Section T-1, University Park Addition to the City of Wichita
Falls; and
WHEREAS, this ten (101) foot utility easement is not needed for the placement
of utilities; and
WHEREAS, the said lot and block above described is burdened with an easement
which is no longer needed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF '�dICHITA
FALLS, THAT insofar as it may legally do so the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita
Falls, Texas, does hereby release the ten (101) foot easement on the West side of Lot 14,
Block 6 of Section T-1 of the University Park Addition to the City of Wichita Falls.

the Council deny the request of the North Texas Cerebral Palsy Society Inc. for a space
150 x 1501 in the Northwest corner of Bellevue Park on which to build a Clinic.
