O!U)INA?10E 10. 1856 - Area No. 8: No one a:;lpeared for or agair_st. ORDINAIC E NO. 1857 - Area No. 9: No one appeared for or against. ORDINANCE NO. 1858 - Area No. 10: Arnold Morris, representative of residents of Wichita Gardens, strongly opposed annexation of this area. Robert Anderson and Vernon Beck likewise opposed annexation. ORDINANCE NO. 1859 - Area No. 11: No one appeared for or against. ORDINANCE NO. 1860 - Area No. 12: M. 0. Satterwhite expressed himself favorably for annexation, while E. M. Stephens opposed the same. ORDINANCE NO. 1861 - Area No. �3: J. R. Ray opposed annexation of this area. ORDINANCE NO. 1862 - Area No. 14: J. M. Crews, representative of some 30 widow women, strongly opposed annexation, while he, personally, had no objection. Frank Hays and W. E. Teel strongly opposed the same. ORDINANCE NO. 1863 - Area No. 15: Tom Gill, Building Contractor, opposed annexation upon the ground that city building codes, etc. might interfere with present plans, and that he cannot raise rents on his properties. ORDINANCE N0. 1864 - Areas Nos 16 & 17: No one appeared for or against. ORDINANCE No. 1865 - Area No. 18: B. J. Richardson stated he prefers annexation. ORDINANCE NO. 1866 - Area No, 19: Mr, Martini strongly opposed annexation;likevdse Floyd Dorsey opposed the same. 73 Alderman Meissner stated the manner in which this hearing had been conducted is a fair sample of democracy, and it is the purpose of the City to provide necessary fire protection, etc. to all newly annexed areas as soon as possible. ORDINANCE N0., 1867 — Area No, 20: Mr. L. G. Davis requested that the east part of Area No. 20 be excluded from annexation so that he could continue with his livestock (horses and cattle) and chicken raising, and not be subject to city ordinance pertaining to the same. The public hearing on Ordinances Nos. 1851 to 1867, inclusi w, was discussed at length, both pro and con, and all interested citizens were given an opportunity to express their views. - - - - - - - - - - ORDINANCE NO, 1869 AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, BY ANNEXING CERTAIN LANDS ADJACENT TO THE WEST AND EAST TERRITORIAL LIMITS OF THE CITY OF 1' WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, CONSISTING OF PART OF WATER DISTRICT NO. 5, WHICH LANDS ARE DESCRIBED IN THIS ORDINANCE. Moved by Alder Thacker that Ordinance No. 1869 be and the same is hereby introduced and ordered published in the Wichita Falls Record News. Motion seconded by Alderman Meissner and carried by the following vote: Yeas: Aldermen Wininger, Thoes, Vaughan, Meissner and Thacker. Nays: Alderman Ray, ORDINANCE NO. 1870 AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, BY ANNEXING CERTAIN LANDS KNOWN AS THE LEFFALL HEIGHTS ADDITION WHICH IS ADJACENT TO THE EAST TERRITORIAL LIMITS OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, AND SAID LANDS ARE DESCRIBED IN THIS ORDINANCE. Moved by Alderman Thacker that Ordinance No. 1870 be and the same is hereby introduced and ordered published in the Wichita Falls Record News. Lotion seconded by Alderman Wininger and carried by the following vote: Yeas: Aldermen Ray, Wininger, Thoes, Vaughan, Meissner and Thacker. Nays: None. ORDINANCE NO. 1871 AN ORDINANCE EnWZING THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, BY ANNEXING CERTAIN LANDS ADJACENT TO THIS NORTH TERRITORIAL LIMITS OF THE CITY OF WICHITA N' FALLS, TEXAS, CONSISTING OF CAPEHART HOUSING PROJECT, SHEPPARD AIR FORCE BASE, TEXAS, WHICH LANDS ARE DESCRIBED IN THIS ORDINANCE. Moved by Alderman Vaughan that, Ordinance No. 1871 be and, the same is hereby introduced and ordered published in the Wichita Falls Record News. Motion seconded by Alderman Thoes and carried by the following vote: Yeas: Aldermen Ray, Wininger, Thoes, Vaughan, Meissner and Thacker. Nays: None. ORDINANCE N0, 1872 AN. ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, BY ANNEXING CERTAIN LANDS ADJACENT TO THE NORTH TERRITORIAL LIMITS OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, CONSISTING OF WHERRY HOUSING, SHEPPARD AIR FORCE BASE, TEXAS, WHICH LANDS ARE DESCRIBED IN THIS ORDINANCE. 74 Moved by Alderman Vaughan that Ordinance No. 1872 be and the same is hereby introduced and ordered published in the Wichita Falls Record News. Motion seconded by AldermanWini.nger and carried by the following vote: Yeas: Aldermen Ray, Wininger, Thoes, Vaughan, Meissner and Thacker. Nays: None.
