The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, met in called session
on the above date in the Council Room of the Memorial Auditorium Building at 8:00 o'clock
A.M. , with the following members present:
R. C. Rancier Mayor
R. Kenneth Hill X
James M. Davis X
Leroy Daniel X Aldermen
Max Kruger X
Cletus C. Schenk X
Jack Davis City Manager
Ii. P. Hodge, Jr. City Attorney
Wilma J. Thomas City Clerk
S. M. Lyons Absent
The invocation was given by Alderman Davis.
Item 3
The mayor announced that the meeting was called for the purpose of a public
hearing on the budget for the ensuing year. He read a budget message from City Manager
Jack Davis, and declared the public hearing open.
City Manager ,Jack Davis commented that this was a record budget, but if the city
continues to grow that we will always have a record budget.
There was no one in the audience who wished to be heard; however, the mayor and
I city manager welcomed Mr. Otto Pfeiffer, stating they appreciated his interest in
coming, as he has done on this occasion for several years.
Alderman Hill and Mayor Rancier complimented the city manager and his staff on
this budget, stating they have done a wonderful job to hold the budget down as they
have.
Moved by Alderman Hill that the public hearing be closed.
Motion seconded by Alderman Kruger, and carried unanimously.
Moved by Alderman Kruger that the meeting be adjourned.
Motion seconded by Alderman Davis, and carried unanimously.
The Board of Aldermen adjourned at 8:15 A.M.
