Motion seconded by Alderman Claytor and carried unanimously. l% 4 ORDINANCE NO. 2088 AN ORDINANCE MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FROM THE WATER AND SEWER FUND TO ACCOUNT NO. 111-5, TO BE USED IN CONNECTION WITH PRELIMINARY WORK ON THE PROPOSED RESERVOIR AT THE HALSELL SITE, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. Moved by Alderman McBride that Ordinance No. 2088 be passed. Motion seconded by Alderman Claytor and passed by the following vote: Ayes: Aldermen Hill, Burross, McBride, Claytor, and Schenk. Nays: None Moved by Alderman Claytor that permission be granted to advertise for bids or to ` negotiate for bids for the drilling of core holes for Halsell dam site and spillway, which- ever is more advantageous to the City. Motion seconded by Alderman Hill and carried unanimously. Moved by Alderman Burross that authority be given to the City Manager, acting through his agents, to condem an easement for the drilling of core holes for the Halsell dam site and spillway, if negotiations are not successful in obtaining the right-of-way. Motion seconded by Alderman Claytor and carried unanimously. - - - - - - - - - - - - - RESOLUTION NO. 563 21 WHEREAS, on March 30, 1964, by Resolution No. 553, the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls approved the terms of a contract to be entered into with Wichita Falls Air Transport Company, Inc. , concerning the purchase of certain structures, buildings and equipment at Wichita Falls Municipal Airport for the sum of $345,000, such purchase to be financed by the issuance of airport revenue bonds; and, WHEREAS, on May 11, 1964, said Board of Aldermen adopted Ordinance No. 2084 authoriz- ing the issuance of such airport revenue bonds. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, That, when such bonds are delivered and paid for, the Mayor shall be authorized to sign for the City of Wichita Falls any necessary documents relating to the transfer of such property to the City of Wichita Falls. Scott Survey 304, Wichita County, Texas, more particularly described in a certain deed recorded in Volume 302, Page 13, Deed Records of Wichita County, Texas, which tract of land is located near the intersection of Duncan Street and Rosewood Avenue in the City of Wichita Falls, is hereby approved, and the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute such easement, dated May 25, 1964, for the City of Wichita Falls. Nays: None - - - - - - - - - - - - Alderman Schenk stated that he had attended a meeting at Pleasant Valley concerning a proposed water system in which he stated that in the course of the discussion it was mentioned that Wichita Falls was intending to annex Pleasant Valley area and surrounding lands. City Manager Jack Davis stated that to his knowledge there were no such plans in existence, and that Pleasant Valley is an incorporated city, and therefore, Wichita Falls could not annex it even if it desired to do so. - - - - - - - - - - - - - City Manager Jack Davis invited the Council to view a demonstration of the City's new 1440 computer at the close of the Council Meeting. The 1440 installation is the second municipal installation in the United States with Anhiem, California, completing their installation about 30 days ahead of the installation in Wichita Falls. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Mayor Wallander expressed the sympathy of the Council to Mr. Henry Mundy, City Clerk, upon the death of his Mother, Mrs. Allie Mundy. - - - - - - - - - - - - - Moved by Alderman Claytor that the meeting be adjourned.
