on the above date in the Council Room of the Memorial Auditorium Building at
8:00 o'clock A.M. , with the following members present.

Mayor Cook announced that the Council would recess into executive session
pursuant to Article 6252-17, Paragraph (g) of the Revised Civil Statutes.
The Council reconvened at 10:25 A.M. , without Councilman Harper.

Moved by Councilman Morris that Robert Barenberg be appointed to the Human
Relations Commission for a term from May 9, 1983 through December 31 , 1984.
(replacing Lee Cary)
Motion seconded by Councilman Wilson, and carried unanimously.
Moved by Councilman Morris that Robert Barenberg be appointed Chairman of
the Human Relations Commission for a term from May 9, 1983 through December 31 ,
1983.
Motion seconded by Councilman Boston and carried unanimously.

RESOLUTION NO. 94-83
RESOLUTION APPOINTING JAMES P. BERZINA CITY MANAGER FOR THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS,
THAT:
James P. Berzina is hereby appointed City Manager for the City of Wichita
Falls, effective the 27th day of June, 1983, at a monthly salary of $5,166.67.
Moved by Councilman Morris that Resolution No. 94-83 be passed, appointing
James P. Berzina as the new City Manager, effective June 27, 1983, at a monthly
salary of $5,166.67.
Motion seconded by Councilman Wilson, and carried by the following vote.

Nays: None (Mayor Cook noted that Councilman Harper voted in support of
this resolution. )
