The Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, met in called
session on the above date in the Council Room of the Memorial Auditorium
Building at 8:30 o'clock A.M. , with the following members present.

Carol G. Russell Absent
Stuart Bach City Manager
H. P. Hodge, Jr. City Attorney
Wilma J. Thomas City Clerk
Fred Werner Chief Accounting Officer
The invocation was given by Alderman Wilson.
The meeting convened and recessed in executive session under the
provision of Article 6252-17, paragraph (g) of the Revised Texas Civil Statutes.
The Board of Aldermen re-convened at 9:10 A.M.
Moved by Alderman Hampton that Dane Bennett, Assistant City Manager, be
appointed Acting City Manager effective December 20, 1982 and continue in that
position until the permanent position of City Manager is filled, at an annual
salary rate of $48,000.
Motion seconded by Alderman Shearman, and carried unanimously.
Mayor Cook announced that applications will be accepted for the vacancy
through February 15, 1983. Information will be released to various publications.
The Board of Aldermen adjourned at�j9:50 A.M.
