Ordinance Appropriating $120,200 To The Special Revenue Fund For
The Public Health Emergency Grant Received From The Texas
Department of State Health Services and Authorizing The City
Manager to Execute All Documents Necessary To Accept Said Grant
WHEREAS, the Wichita Falls - Wichita County Public Health District has
received an award from the Texas Department of State Health Services for emergency
preparedness; and
WHEREAS, the Wichita Falls - Wichita County Public Health District and the
Texas Department of State Health Services desire to enter into a contract to improve
the public health emergency preparedness effort through planning, outreach and
education activities; and
WHEREAS, approval of these funds could not have been anticipated prior to the
adoption of the FY 2010 -2011 budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
There is hereby appropriated in the Special Revenue Fund $120,200 for the
Public Health Emergency Preparedness Grant to support public health emergency
preparedness, and the City Manager is authorized to execute all documents necessary
to accept said grant, including, but not limited to, a contract with the Texas Department
of State Health Services.
