ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, WAIVING SECTIONS 82 -62 AND 82 -63 OF THE CODE
OF ORDINANCES TO PERMIT SALES AND THE POSTING OF SIGNS
IN LUCY PARK BY THE LEUKEMIA AND LYMPHOMA SOCIETY
DURING THEIR BICYCLE POKER RUN FUND RAISING EVENT
MARCH 26, 2005, FROM 9:00 A.M. TILL NOON; FINDING AND
DE= TERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS ORDINANCE
WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the Leukemia and Lymphoma
Society desires to
host a bicycle
poker run fund raising event
in Lucy Park and
along the Wichita
River Trail on
March 2E, 2005, from 9:00 a.m.
till noon, and
WHEREAS, the Society believes their event will be more successful if they are
permitted to post signs along the trail and to collect donations in the park, and
WHEREAS, the Society is a non - profit organization.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SE CTION 1 . Sections 82 -62 and 82 -63 of the Code of Ordinances are hereby
waived to permit sales and the posting of signs in Lucy Park and along the Wichita
River Trail during a poker run fund raising event by the Leukemia and Lymphoma
Society on March 26, 2005, from 9:00 a.m. till noon.
SE CTION 2 . It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
