ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, MAKING AN APPROPRIATION IN THE HOTEL /MOTEL
TAX FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF $5,000 FOR THE FANTASY OF
LIGHTS CHRISTMAS PROGRAM; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT
THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS
OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City received a funding request from the MSU -Burns Fantasy of
Lights Board of Directors in the amount of $10,000; and
WHEREAS, the City Council Committee on Outside Agency Funding considered
this request and is recommending an award of $5,000 of Hotel /Motel Tax Funds for this
program in the 2005 -06 fiscal year; and
WHEREAS, this appropriation was not anticipated in the adoption of the 2005 -06
Annual Budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1 . There is hereby approved a funding appropriation in the Hotel /Motel
Tax Fund in the amount of $5,000 for the MSU -Burns Fantasy of Lights Program.
SECTION 2 . It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
