ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE SPECIAL
REVENUE FUND FOR ADDITIONAL RYAN WHITE II GRANT FUNDING
IN THE AMOUNT OF $199,593 RECEIVED FROM THE TEXAS
DEPARTMENT OF STATE HEALTH SERVICES AND AUTHORIZING
THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT ACCEPTING SAME',
FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS
ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS
REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the Wichita Falls - Wichita County Public Health District has received
notice of the availability of additional Ryan White II grant revenue from the Texas
Department of State Health Services', and
WHEREAS, the Health District desires to receive these funds to continue
providing medical, dental, pharmaceutical and other related assistance to eligible
clients', and
WHEREAS, the award of these funds could not have been anticipated prior to
the adoption of the FY 2004 -2005 budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT
SECTION i . There is hereby appropriated Into the Special Revenue Fund
$199,593 for the Ryan White II grant and the City Manager is authorized to enter into a
contract with The Texas Department of State Health Services for the Wichita Falls -
Wichita County Public Health District accepting same.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required bylaw
PASSED AND APPROVED this the 5th day of April 2005.
