ORDINANCE REZONING 2900 HENRY S. GRACE FREEWAY, LOT 1,
MORGAN SUBDIVISION, FROM GENERAL COMMERCIAL TO LIGHT
INDUSTRIAL ZONING AND AMENDING THE LAND USE PLAN TO
CONFORM TO THIS REZONING, FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT
THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS
OPEN TOTHE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, The Planning and Zoning Commission considered the proposed
rezoning at their April 13. 2005 meeting and voted to recommend approval of this
rezoning request and Land Use Plan amendment to conform to such change, and
WHEREAS, City Council concurs with this recommendation and finds that the
herein described rezoning Is in the public interest.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT
SECTION 1 . The City of Wichita Falls Land Use Plan, an element of the
Comprehensive Plan for the City of Wichita Falls, Texas is hereby amended for 2900
Henry S. Grace Freeway, Lot 1, Morgan Subdivision; as shown on the attached map,
incorporated in this ordinance as Attachment "A' Said property designation on the
Land Use Plan shall be changed from Parks and Open Spaces to Light Industrial.
SECTION 2 . Said property, being the same as described in Section 1, is hereby
zoned Light Industrial
SECTION 3 . It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
