ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, WAIVING SECTIONS 82 -62 AND 82 -63 OF THE CODE
OF ORDINANCES TO PERMIT SALES AND POSTING OF SIGNS
DURING A TEXAS TRAILS DAYS EVENT SPONSORED BY THE
PLACE JUNE 4, 2005 IN THE CENTRAL AREA OF LUCY PARK',
FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS
ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS
REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, The Place wishes to sponsor a Texas Trails Days event in Lucy
Park on June 4, 2005, to encourage exercise to combat obesity in Texans', and
WHEREAS, The Place has conducted prior events with no reported problems:
and
WHEREAS, The Place will pay the City the standard percentage of gross sales.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT
SECTION 1. Serious 82 -62 and 82 -63 of the Code of Ordinances are hereby
waived to permit sales and the posting of signs during a Texas Trails Days event by
The Place on June 4, 2005, in the central area of Lucy Park,
SECTION 2 . It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
