ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, WAIVING SEC 82 -58 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES
TO PERMIT PARTICIPANT VEHICLES UPON THE GRASS AND
RESERVATION OF THE GROUNDS FROM 7:00 A.M. UNTIL 5:00 P.M.
DAILY DURING AN ANNUAL PYLON RACE EVENT BY THE WICHITA
FALLS RADIO CONTROL CLUB AT THE LANDING FIELD IN LAKE
WICHITA PARK JUNE 11 AND 12, 2005; FINDING AND DETERMINING
THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS ORDINANCE WAS PASSED
WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the Wichita Falls Radio Control Club wishes to host an annual Pylon
Race at the landing field in Lake Wichita Park June 11 and 12, 2005 from 7:00 a.m.
until 5:00 p.m.; and
WHEREAS, no significant problems were reported last year; and
WHEREAS, there promises to be an number of out of town visitors to the park.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1 . Sec 82 -58 of the Code of Ordinances is hereby waived to permit
participant vehicles upon the grass, and reservation of the grounds around the landing
field, during an Pylon Race event by the Wichita Falls Radio Control Club June 11 and
12, 2005, from 7:00 a m. until 5:00 p.m. daily in Lake Wichita Park.
SECTION 2 . It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
