ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, ANNEXING 103.24 ACRES OF LAND OUT OF BLOCKS
11 AND 12, DENTON COUNTY SCHOOL LANDS, LEAGUE 2, WICHITA
COUNTY, TEXAS; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING
AT WHICH THIS ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE
PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the Planning Division has received a petition from the property
owners to annex the land into the City limits; and
WHEREAS, City departments have reviewed such request and finds that such
annexation would not burden City resources in providing service; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that such annexation is in the
public's interest.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1 . A tract of land being 103.24 acres out of Blocks 11 and 12, Denton
County School Lands, League 2, Wichita County, Texas, described in Field Notes
herein included as attachment "A" and shown on the map included as attachment "B" is
hereby annexed into the City of Wichita Falls.
SECTION 2 . It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.

PETITION REQUESTING ANNEXATION BY AREA LAND OWNER
TO THE MAYOR OF THE GOVERNING BODY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS
The undersigned owners of the hereinafter described tract of land, which is vacant and
without residents, or on which fewer than three qualified voters reside, hereby petition your
Honorable Body to extend the present city limits so as to include as part of the City of Wichita
Falls, Texas, the following described territory, to wit:
A tract of land out of Blocks 11 and 12, Denton County School Lands, League 2, Wichita County,
Texas, and being more specifically described by metes and bounds as follows:
BEGININNG at a point in the existing city limit line, said point bears N 88" 22' 28" E 655.38 feet
and N 00" 14' 09" W 337.88 feet from the Southeast corner of said Block 11 and the Southwest
corner of said Block 12, Denton County School Lands, League 2;
THENCE S 00" 14' 09" E 337.88 feet to a 2" iron pipe in the South line of said Block 12 for the
most Southerly Southeast corner of this tract;
THENCE S 88° 22'28" W with the South line of said Block 12 655.38 feet to a 112 inch iron rod
for the Southwest comer of said Block 12 and the Southeast corner of said Block 11, Denton
County School Lands, said iron rod being an angle point in the South line of this tract;
THENCE North 88" 59'00" West with the South line of said Block 11 2,568.54 feet to a 1/2 inch
iron rod in the East right -of -way line of F.M. Highway No. 2650 for the Southwest corner of this
tract;
THENCE North 01" 42' 10" East 402.07 feet along said East right -of -way line to its point of
intersection with the South right -of -way line of the Ft. Worth and Denver Railroad for the Northwest
corner of this tract;
THENCE leaving said East right -of -way line and along said South right -of -way line of the Ft. Worth
and Denver Railroad as follows:
North 57" 01' 38" East 1,535.93 feet to a 1/2 inch iron rod for an ell corner of
this tract;
South 30" 43' 56" East 99.64 feet to a 1/2 inch iron rod for an ell corner of this
tract;
North 57" 01' 52" East 2,228.89 feet to a 1/2 inch iron rod for the Northeast
corner of this tract;
THENCE leaving said South right -of -way line, South 01" 22'40" East 834.80 feet to a point in the
existing city limit line, for an ell corner of this tract;
THENCE N 89" 07'47" W with the existing city limit line 24.20 feet to an ell corner of this tract;
THENCE S 00" 13'00"E with the existing city limit line 1,220.0 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING
and containing 103.24 acres.
