ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING A FRANCHISE FOR A SPECIAL SERVICE
VEHICLE TO LOS GRINGOS LOCOS, LLC DBA LOS GRINGOS;
FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS
ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS
REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City has received an application from Cory Strickland, President
of Los Gringos Locos, LLC DBA Los Gringos, for a special service vehicle franchise for
social purposes transportation within the city limits of Wichita Falls; and
WHEREAS, the application submitted meets the requirements as set forth in
Chapter 110 of the Code of Ordinances regulating Vehicles for Hire; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held to receive comments regarding the
granting of such franchise.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1 . A franchise for a special service vehicle (bus) for social purposes
transportation within the city limits of Wichita Falls is hereby authorized to Los Gringos
Locos, LLC DBA Los Gringos, as provided for in Chapter 110 of the Code of
Ordinances.
SECTION 2 . A total of one (1) special service vehicle permit is authorized for
said franchise.
SECTION 3 . This franchise shall expire on June 21, 2010.
SECTION 4 . It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
