ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 102- 153(F) OF THE CODE OF
ORDINANCES, PARKING IN SPACES DESIGNATED FOR THE
DISABLED IN PRIVATE PARKING LOTS PROHIBITED; FINDING AND
DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS ORDINANCE
WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the Construction Board of Adjustment and Appeals has determined
that amendments to Section 102- 153(f), are necessary to advance public purposes
relating to safety, quality of life, appearance, and function of the City; and
WHEREAS, the City Council concurs with such adoption.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1 . Section 102- 153(f) of the Wichita Falls Code of Ordinances is
hereby amended to read as follows:
"Sec. 102 -153. Parking in spaces designated for the disabled in private parking
lots prohibited.
(f) A parking space or area designated for the disabled is one that is marked
and designed in accordance with the Texas Accessibility Standards (TAS), as
amended."
SECTION 2 . It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
