Ordinance appropriating $1,450,152 in Federal Funds and $338,171
in State Funds for the FY 2015 Section 5307 Transit System and
authorizing the City Manager to execute all necessary funding
agreements related hereto
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls received notification from the Federal
Transit Administration and Texas Department of Transportati on for FY 2015 funding in
the amount of $1,788,323; and,
WHEREAS, the FY 2015 budget for the Wichita Falls Transit System includes
$1,788,323, of federal and state funding for operations of the Wichita Falls Transit
System; and,
WHEREAS, it is desirable to budget these grant funds for the operation of the
Wichita Falls Transit System; and,
WHEREAS, the resulting General Fund, Fare Box Revenue and other support
for the local subsidy required for operating the Wichita Falls Transit System for the
2015 fiscal year is anticipated to be $607,709.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City Manager is authorized to accept FY 2015 Federal Transit
Administration and Texas Department of Transportation funding, with changes thereto
in a form approved by the City Attorney.
