Resolution declaring the City owned property located at 507 Eighth
Street, Wichita Falls, Wichita County, Texas as excess real property
and authorizing permission to sell the property to the adjacent
property owner, Tucker Resources, Inc., for $1,000.00
WHEREAS, the City owns excess property located at 507 Eighth Street that staff
has determined is excess and no longer necessary for City operations; desires to sell
said property to the adjacent property owner to eliminate maintenance and place it back
on the property tax roll; and,
WHEREAS in accordance with TEXAS GOVERNMENT CODE§272.001 (b) (1)
the City can sell an irregular shaped parcel of property to the adjacent property owner
for less than the fair market value and without advertising to the general public; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, deems it
reasonable to authorize the sale of the property located at 507 Eighth Street; and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
1. The property located at 507 Eighth Street and more specifically depicted in the
attached Aerial Map and Location Map may be sold to Tucker Resources, Inc. for
$1,000.00
