The City Council of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, met
in special session on the above date in the Council Room of the
Memorial Auditorium Building at 8: 30 o'clock a.m. , with the
following members present:
Michael Lam - Mayor
Leon Mallonee - Councilors
Terrance E. Loughry -
Angus Thompson
Bill Daniel -
J. W. Martin -
Harold Hawkins -
James Berzina - City Manager
Gregory Humbach - City Attorney
Lydia Torres - City Clerk
Mayor Lam called the meeting to order.
Results of the City Election held May 6, 1995 , were
canvassed by the Mayor and City Clerk. Following the canvass, a
resolution was considered.
RESOLUTION NO. 67-95
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, CANVASSING THE RETURNS OF THE
GENERAL/SPECIAL ELECTION HELD IN THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS ON MAY 6, 1995,
Moved by Councilor Mallonee that Resolution No. 67-95 be
passed.
Motion seconded by Councilor Loughry and carried by the
following vote.
Ayes: Mayor Lam, Councilors Mallonee, Loughry,
Thompson, Daniel, Martin, and Hawkins
Nays: None
City Clerk Lydia Torres administered the oath of office to
J. Don Johnston, Councilor at Large, Dan A. Shine, Councilor
District 1 and Angus Thompson, Councilor District 2.
Mayor Lam welcomed Councilors Johnston and Shine to the
City Council and presented them and their wives with a City of
Wichita Falls pin.
Mayor Lam presented Councilors Mallonee and Loughry with a
plaque and a portrait and thanked them for their service on the
City Council.
A reception was ' held for Councilors Mallonee and Loughry
and for Councilors Johnston, Shine and Thompson and their
families.
