Resolution Awarding Bid and Contract For The 2010 CDBG Waterline
Replacement Project (CWF10-204-07) to Whitewater Construction, in
an estimated total amount of $600,762.00
WHEREAS, the City Council finds the City advertised for bids for the 2010
CDBG Waterline Replacement Project (CWF10-204-07) in accordance with all legal
requirements;
WHEREAS, the City Council finds the lowest responsible bidder was Whitewater
Construction, which made a unit price bid with an estimated total of $600,762.00; and
WHEREAS, The project is being funded by a combination of remaining American
Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009 and approved 2010 Community
Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds, and a Substantial Amendment to the Program
Year 2008 Action Plan of the 2005-2009 Consolidation Plan was approved by Council
by Resolution #74-2009, dated June 2, 2009, that allocated $381,303.00 in CDBG-R
stimulus funding from ARRA.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The unit price bid for the 2010 CDBG Waterline Replacement Project (CWF10-
204-07) is awarded to Whitewater Construction, in an estimated total amount of
$600,762.00, and the City Manager is authorized to execute a contract with said entity
for the construction of this project.
