ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, WAIVING SEC 82 -63 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES
TO PERMIT THE POSTING OF BANNERS AND SIGNS DURING A
FUND RAISING EVENT SPONSORED BY THE PUMPJACK DINER IN
HAROLD JONES PARK SEPTEMBER 5, 2005; FINDING AND
DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS ORDINANCE
WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the Pumpjack Diner wishes to sponsor a fund raising event to
benefit the Patsy's House Children's Advocacy Center; and
WHEREAS, they wish to use a portion of Harold Jones Park for games and to
distribute information regarding Patsy's House; and
WHEREAS, in order for their event to be more successful they wish to post
banners and signs in the park during the event.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1 . Sec 82 -63 of the Code of Ordinances is hereby waived
during a fund raising event sponsored by the Pumpjack Diner to permit the posting of
signs in Harold Jones Park September 5, 2005.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
