ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE SPECIAL
REVENUE FUND FOR GRANT FUNDING RECEIVED FROM THE
DEPARTMENT OF STATE HEALTH SERVICES; FINDING AND
DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS ORDINANCE
WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the Health District has received additional grant funding from the
Department of State Health Services; and
WHEREAS, the additional funds will enhance laboratory services, upgrade
equipment and staff training, and provide additional supplies; and
WHEREAS, the receipt of these funds could not have been anticipated prior to
the development and submission to Council of the 2005 -06 budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1 . There is hereby appropriated to the Special Revenue Fund the sum
of $25,000 for grant funding received from the Department of State Health Services, for
the laboratory of the Wichita Falls- Wichita County Public Health District.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
