ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, WAIVING SECTION 82 -58 OF THE CODE OF
ORDINANCES TO PERMIT THE DRIVING OF A VEHICLE UPON THE
GRASS AND TRAIL BY THE BURKBURNETT HIGH SCHOOL DURING
THEIR TRACK EVENT ON OCTOBER 13, 2005, IN LUCY PARK;
FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS
ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS
REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, Loy Triana, Head Girls Cross Country Coach at Burkburnett High
School, wishes to host their track event in Lucy Park October 13, 2005; and
WHEREAS, in order for their event to be more successful, they desire
permission to drive a four - wheeler vehicle upon the grass and trail of Lucy Park, only to
pick up injured runners; and
WHEREAS, the event will occur during weekdays and, therefore, the use of a
four - wheeler vehicle will not interfere with normally higher weekend traffic.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1 . Section 82 -58 of the Code of Ordinances is hereby waived to permit
the use of a four - wheeler vehicle upon the grass and trail by the Burkburnett High
School, only to pick up injured runners, during their event on October 13, 2005, in Lucy
Park.
SECTION 2 . It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
