ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, RENAMING A STREET AFTER DR. MARTIN LUTHER
KING, JR.; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT
WHICH THIS ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC
AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, a request has been submitted to the City Council to rename a street
after Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1 . The City Council is going to name a suitable street after Dr.
Martin Luther King, Jr. Selection of that street to be determined in an appropriate
manner and brought to a vote no later than the next general municipal election.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
