ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE SPECIAL
REVENUE FUND FOR GRANT FUNDING RECEIVED FROM THE
DEPARTMENT OF STATE HEALTH SERVICES AND AUTHORIZING
THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT ACCEPTING THE
SAME; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH
THIS ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS
REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the Health District has been offered revenue from the Department of
State Health Services, and
WHEREAS, vaccine preventable diseases represent a significant health risk to
the citizens in our community, and
WHEREAS, the Health District and the Department of State Health Services
desire to enter into a contract for immunization services; and
WHEREAS, the approval of these funds could not have been anticipated prior to
the adoption of the 2004 -2005 budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS. THAT
SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated In the Special Revenue Fund $50,094
for the immunization program and the City Manager is authorized to enter into a
contract with the Department of State Health Services for the Wichita Falls -W irbite
County Public Health District.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
