ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, WAIVING SECTION 82 -63 OF THE CODE OF
ORDINANCES TO PERMIT POSTING OF A BANNER DURING AN
EVENT BY THE SPECIAL 01- YMPICS OF TEXAS -NORTH TEXAS AREA
IN LUCY PARK ON APRIL 23, 2004; FINDING AND DETERMINING
THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS ORDINANCE WAS PASSED
WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the Special Olympics of Texas -North Texas Area wishes to host a
bicycling event in Lucy Park on April 23, 2004; and
WHEREAS, the organization believes the event will be more successful if they
are permitted to post their banner in the park, and
WHEREAS, no problems were reported during their previous events in Lucy
Park.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT
S ECTION 1 . Section 82 -63 of the Code of Ordinances is hereby waived during
the bicycling event by the Special Olympics of Texas -North Texas Area to permit the
posting of a banner in Lucy Park on April 23, 2004.
SECTI 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
